THE SCRIPTURES: They are fully inspired; authoritative and sufficient, containing and being in themselves the Word of God. The New Testament is a reliable testimony to the character and authorship of the Old Testament. A true and spiritual understanding of the whole requires the teaching of the Holy Spirit.
THE GODHEAD: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are a Unity of divine co-equality, sovereign in creation, providence and redemption.
MANKIND: Utterly depraved through the fall and in need of regeneration.
OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST: Truly and properly divine. Born of a virgin to real and perfect manhood. Authoritative and infallible in all His teaching and utterances. His sufferings and death as a substitute atoned for sinners. He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, now exercising priestly intercession for His people. He will return personally in glory.
JUSTIFICATION: Solely by faith through the atoning merits of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
THE HOLY SPIRIT: His essential work in regeneration, conversion, sanctification, ministry and worship.
THE ORDINANCES: Baptism of believers by total immersion, but not as conveying regenerating grace. The Lord’s Supper as a remembrance feast, but not as being a sacrifice for sin or involving any change in the bread or wine.
THE FUTURE: The resurrection of the body and the judgment of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ. The eternal blessedness of the righteous and the eternal punishment of the wicked.
